What is MHAW?

What is Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW)? MHAW is a week long initiative that ASMSU started last year alongside many other student groups. This year, we are continuing to work with student groups, and MSU departments  to bring more ideas and foster greater collaboration throughout campus. In addition, The City of East Lansing has officially endorsed Mental Health Awareness Week, as well as the Downtown Management Board (DMB).

The goal of this week is to release the stigma around mental health, educate students on resources available to them, and continue to advocate for increased mental health resources on campus. This issue impacts many students and members of the MSU and East Lansing community, and we hope that this week can shed light and increase awareness of mental health.
